Hi! My name is Sarah Dvorak and I am teaching 2nd Grade this year. This is my first year to be at Wildwood and I am so excited to be apart of the Wildwood family. This is my 7th year of teaching. Previously, I taught Kindergarten for 2 years in Spring ISD and 2nd Grade for 4 years in Amarillo ISD. I am looking forward to being your child's teacher this year and all of the fun learning we will achieve!

I was born and raised in Texas and have lived all around this great state. I grew up north of Dallas, met my husband there and moved to Amarillo. My family and I moved to Tomball in 2015 and have fallen in love with this community. My husband and I have two beautiful children. My daughter, Ava is 7 and will also be joining the Wildwood family this year in 2nd Grade. My son, Benjamin is 11 months old and is already a Wildwood Wildcat at heart.

** Parents be on the look out for the following information in your child's homework folder.

We will be studying landforms the next couple weeks. We would like to make landforms out of play dough. Please make this play dough  at home and have your child bring it to school by Monday, May 7, 2018.
***Your child will be assigned a specific color on the form sent home.***

Homemade Play Dough

1 cup of flour
1 cup of water (add food coloring)
1/2 cup salt
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 teaspoon of cream of tarter

Mix and cook all ingredients over medium heat in a saucepan. When the dough pulls away from the side of the pan, remove from the heat. Cool and place in bag.

**If you prefer, you may send in three (3) 2 oz tubs of Play-doh of your assigned color.

Money Bags

We are starting our Money unit on Thursday! We are asking that all students bring in a bag on coins. I will provide the bag today and a small note that will be in your child's Homework folder. The money bag will need to include: 4 quarters, 7 dimes, 5 nickels and 10 pennies.
Please try to get these to school by the end of the week. Thanks!
