About Mrs. McHone

Thank you for visiting our class website!  Let me tell you a little about myself.  My name is Jennifer McHone.  I am a graduate of University of Houston-Clear Lake.  This will be my 10th year in education.  I started my teaching journey in Deer Park ISD, where I taught 2 years, before I made Tomball my new home.  I then taught 7 years at Decker Prairie Elementary.  After taking a short leave after my second child was born, I am now happy to return back to Tomball ISD as a Wildwood Wildcat!

I have a wonderful husband, whom I have been married to for 12 years.  We have 2 beautiful children.  My son will be a 1st grader at Wildwood and my sweet little girl is 2.  We live in the Tomball area and are so proud to be a part of this wonderful community!  I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year!  Making sure that your child has a fun and successful year is my number one priority!

February is career month in TISD. One way we will shine a light on career awareness is by having a career dress up day. Students are invited to dress up to show a future career they are interested in.

Classroom Supplies Needed!

We have been busy this year!  Donations of 24 packs of Crayons, Pencils and Hand Sanitizer for our classroom would be greatly appreciated!

Due to the fact that we were only in school for two days this past week, we did not have a Spelling test on Friday. We will push all Spelling units back one week. (please correct in red take home folder)
We will study short o words with blends/digraphs all next week and have our test as usual on Friday.

Holiday Party!

Gradebook

Parents,

This week I am slowly beginning to input some of your child's grades into the gradebook.
Over the summer, you all should have received a letter from the district that included a login and password to access the gradebook. You may find the gradebook link on the district website, under the students and parents tab.  If for any reason you did not receive this information or accidently misplaced it, please let me know and I can work on helping you get a copy of your login!

Graded Work

I just wanted to let you know, that any graded work that is done in class will be sent home in your student's Wednesday Folder.
