My name is Amy Walker and I'm so excited to get to know you and your child! Thank you for visiting my class website and for working with me this year to ensure your child has a smooth transition and successful school year.  First grade is an incredible year for academic growth!  I can't wait to see all the progress your child makes this school year.

I'm thrilled to begin my sixteenth year of teaching!  I graduated from the University of Florida in 2002 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. In 2003, I earned my Master's degree in Special Education. I hold certifications in EC- 6th grade, special education early childhood - 12th grade, and an ESL certification.

My husband and I relocated to Texas in the summer of 2016 from Orlando, FL.  This past April we welcomed our first child.  We are the proud parents to our adorable three-month old son, Chase!  We have two sweet fur babies in our family as well. Ringo, our fourteen-year-old miniature schnauzer and Cody, our fourteen-year-old rescue cat.  Our family loves to take walks around the neighborhood, go swimming in the pool, and visit our family in Orlando.  I also enjoy baking for my family.

I can't wait to begin the new school year and am honored to be working with you and your child!

Let the fun begin!!!

This week we will have an early release day on Friday, October 5th.

Our annual fundraiser started on Wednesday! Your child was sent home with a packet of information regarding the sale.
We are raising money for flexible seating and maker space in the library, and we need the support and participation of every family to meet that goal!
In addition to the paper order forms, we have an Online Store at the following website:
Your friends and family members can check out our school’s store online to help support us. You can also post the link on Social Media.
Our goal is to reach at least $1,000 in Online Sales prior to the start of the fundraiser. All online orders help our sale and your child will personally get credit towards earning prizes!
In addition to helping our school get (a new playground, technology in the classrooms, field trips, new cafeteria tables, etc) your child also has the opportunity to earn college Tuition Rewards by participating in the fundraiser.
Thank you for all your help!
