I am blessed to be beginning a new school year! I started the journey of education 27 years ago as a Special Education Teacher. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education from The University of Texas at Tyler in 1991. I began my teaching career in Kerens ISD as an elementary special education teacher and continued there for 10 years before moving to Mexia ISD as a Special Education resource teacher. After receiving my Master’s in Counseling in 2008, I continued in Mexia ISD and served as the district’s Special Education Counselor working with students at all grade levels. I am currently working towards completion of my internship to become a fully Licensed Professional Counselor. My husband and I relocated our family to Tomball in 2011 when he accepted the position as the head baseball coach and Biology teacher at Tomball Memorial High School. God graciously opened the door for me to become the school counselor at Canyon Pointe Elementary where I spent four years. I have been blessed with the honor and opportunity to serve as the school counselor for Wildwood Elementary since opening in 2016. In any spare time, our family loves being in the country, in the pool or out fishing! We are also total Wildcat fans so you will see us at many Wildcat events! Looking forward to a great year!
