Welcome to First Grade! My name is Lara Davis and I am so excited to be your child's first grade teacher this year at Wildwood Elementary. First grade is such an important year and sets the foundation of a child’s academic development. It is amazing how much your child will grow and learn this year.
This is my eighth year teaching first grade and my fourth year teaching in Tomball ISD. I live in Tomball with my husband and our cute puppy dog, Mollie. I have a Bachelors Degree from Texas A&M University and I love my Aggies, whoop! I am certified to teach PK through 6th grade and am also certified to teach English as a Second Language and Gifted and Talented students.
When I'm not working I love to spend time with my husband, Matthew. We love to do escape rooms together and have successfully escaped 30 times now. We also love to travel together and take a fun trip each summer, most recently we took a road trip to visit Nashville, Tennessee. In my spare time I also enjoy reading, walking with my dog Mollie, and crafting (so you might run into me at Hobby Lobby)!
As a teacher, I love getting to know my students and inspiring in them a love of learning. I especially love teaching children to read and become life long readers! We will be learning and growing together and I cannot wait to meet your student and see what great things this school year has in store for us!
If you ever have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me by email at LaraDavis@tomballisd.net
I look forward to working together to make this a great school year!
