Welcome to 2nd Grade

I consider it an honor to have the opportunity to work with you and your child.  This upcoming year will be filled with new experiences and the wonder of learning.

I received my Bachelor of Science, in Academic Studies from Sam Houston State University in 2006. I am certified to teach General Education students, Gifted and Talented, as well as English Second Language learners.

I began my teaching career at WCES in 2nd grade and moved to CPES when the school opened, teaching 2nd and 3rd.  I moved to Wildwood when it opened in 2015 and I thoroughly enjoy being part of its wonderful community.

My teaching philosophy is to meet each student where they are and bring them to the next level. We all learn in different ways, and it is my goal to figure out how your child learns best and have them experience success. I can’t wait to build a relationship with your family. I am a firm believer in communication, so if you have a question or concern please do not hesitate to ask!

My wonderful husband of 37 years was born and raised here in Tomball.  We were fortunate enough to raise our three boys here with each of them graduating from THS.  Our oldest, Emmett and his wife Molly are currently living in Huntsville.   He works for SHSU, and Molly is staying at home with our  two beautiful granddaughters Blake and Tess.  Our middle son Ethan and his wife Fawn live in Waxahachie near Dallas.  He works in the media field and Fawn is a stay at home mom with their two amazing kids Declan and Lucy.     Our youngest, Jonathan and his wife Autumn are located in Conroe.  He works construction and Autumn works for Starbucks.   Family is very important to us and we love it when we are all together!  My hubby and I love to camp and many weekends are spent at our wonderful Texas State Parks.

They came home today!  Please enjoy some reading time with your child.  You can read to them or they can read to you.  New books will come home on Fridays.  Happy Reading!
