Welcome to 2nd Grade
I consider it an honor to have the opportunity to work with you and your child. This upcoming year will be filled with new experiences and the wonder of learning.
I received my Bachelor of Science, in Academic Studies from Sam Houston State University in 2006. I am certified to teach General Education students, Gifted and Talented, as well as English Second Language learners.
I began my teaching career at WCES in 2nd grade and moved to CPES when the school opened, teaching 2nd and 3rd. I thoroughly enjoy being at Wildwood and its wonderful community.
My teaching philosophy is to meet each student where they are and bring them to the next level. We all learn in different ways, and it is my goal to figure out how your child learns best and have them experience success. I can’t wait to build a relationship with your family. I am a firm believer in communication, so if you have a question or concern please do not hesitate to ask!
My wonderful husband of 34 years was born and raised here in Tomball. We were fortunate enough to raise our three boys here with each of them graduating from THS. Our oldest, Emmett and his wife Molly are currently living in Huntsville working for SHSU. We are thankful to have them home from after a two year stay in Germany. We love to spend time with our two beautiful granddaughters Blake and Tess. Our middle son Ethan and his wife Fawn live in Waxahachie near Dallas. Our youngest, Jonathan and his wife are located in Rose Bud, Arknasas. Family is very important to us and we love it when we are all together. My hubby and I love to camp and many weekends are spent at our wonderful Texas State Parks.
A reminder that our class will be taking our field trip to Jesse H. Jones Park and Nature Center, 20624 Kenswick Dr. Humble, TX 77338, tomorrow, Tuesday, March 20th. We will be leaving WES at 9:00 am and return at 1:30 pm.
Your child will need to bring a sack lunch that can be thrown away after eating. They also need to wear tennis shoes, and layered clothing.
The field trip is free to students and chaperones. As a chaperone you will have a small group of students to monitor and walk with during the tour, siblings or younger children are NOT able to attend. Any parent is more than welcome to join us and attend the field trip but will not be able to chaperone students away from the group.
Parents and/or chaperones must provide your own transportation to and from the park. All students will ride the bus to and from the park.
I am excited about tomorrow, it is going to be a fun day!
